What We Can Create for You
KIM’S GOLD DUST handles every step from design through manufacturing. Custom projects we regularly take on include custom car jewelry, business and car club logo jewelry, engagement and wedding jewelry, one of a kind fashion rings, specialty anniversary pieces, and a wide variety of other personal commissions.

How the Custom Process Works
Every custom order follows the same clear process so you are involved and informed at every stage.
Step 1 — Free Design Consultation
Start with a free design consultation. A designer will sketch your idea, discuss materials, and provide an estimate. There is no charge and no commitment at this stage.
Step 2 — Design Approval & Deposit
Once the design is finalised, a 50% deposit is required to begin the project. This covers material sourcing and initial design work.
Step 3 — CAD Rendering
Realistic CAD renderings of your design are created so you can see exactly what your piece will look like before anything is made. You review, request changes, and approve before anything moves forward.
Step 4 — Wax Model
A wax model is produced for your review. You have the opportunity to make changes and revisions before manufacturing begins.
Step 5 — Manufacturing & Delivery
Once approved, your piece moves into the shop. Our skilled team blends advanced technology with old-world craftsmanship to create your unique design. Most projects take 3 to 4 weeks. More complex designs can take up to 8 weeks.
Real Custom Pieces We Have Made
The DeLorean Pendant
An avid DeLorean owner commissioned a small-scale replica of his car in 14k yellow gold. The car was hollow inside to keep it affordable but still a heavy piece of gold. He was absolutely amazed by the detail captured from the photos he provided.
The Diamond StingRay Ring
Customer Ray asked for a custom C7 Corvette Stingray diamond ring. His one instruction was the more diamonds the better. We played on his name and the Corvette StingRAY name to create a fine diamond ring he was thrilled with.
Tracy’s C6 Z06 Race Bracelet
Long-time friend Tracy Gaudu commissioned a special C6 Z06 Corvette bracelet featuring her favourite racing number 141. She wears it every time she races her orange C6 Z06. You can follow her at Team Tracy Motorsports.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use my own gold, stones, or materials?
Yes. We can work with materials you already own. It is important to note that our ability to use your materials depends on their quality and condition, especially gemstones. We will advise you on suitability during the consultation.
How long does a custom piece take?
Most projects take 3 to 4 weeks. More complex designs can take up to 8 weeks. We will give you a realistic timeline during your consultation.
What is the warranty on custom jewelry?
We offer a lifetime warranty on all manufacturing defects for jewelry we produce. This does not include normal wear, chipped or lost stones, or damaged items. Shanks and prongs will wear down over time and will require maintenance. We recommend having your jewelry inspected at least once a year so repairs can be detected before worse damage occurs or stones are lost.
